The Experience

Redeem AAdvantage® miles for a five-course dinner exploring the wines and cuisine from some of American Airlines' top destinations. Led by an expert sommelier, you are sure to find some new favorites.

The Mediterranean Dinner - January 17

An evening of international wines paired to classic plates from Southern Italy, the Greek islands, Corsica, Sicily, Coastal Spain and Lebanon. The Mediterranean's diversity of culinary cultures is rich in great food and unique wines. We will enjoy some of the finer examples such as Assyrtiko from Santorini, Nerello Mascalese and Grecanico from Sicily, Monastrell from Spain, Sciacarello from Corsica among others. This will be an adventure of exploration into one of the world's oldest and richest wine regions.

The Spain Dinner - February 28

If there is one country that best exemplifies the traditional and the modern in both the culinary and wine worlds, it must be Spain. From the seafood-friendly wines of Galicia and Catalonia to the complex reds of Rioja, Priorat and Ribera del Duero, and the unique wines of Jerez, Spain has a rich heritage of producing unique wines from indigenous grape varieties. We will pair a wide selection of these in a tapas format so that different wines can be experienced across a variety of flavors. One of our favorite dinners.

Argentina Asado - March 14

Argentina is a beef lover's and Malbec-drinker's paradise. The culinary tradition of the asado is a national pastime only rivaled by the country's favorite sport. We will cook over fire and showcase the full breadth of the asado from chorizos, to grilled lamb, and of course beef. The wines will range from fresh whites with the fish course, to the juicy Bonarda grape (originally from Italy) through to powerful reds based on the Malbec, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon varieties. Sharpen your knife!

The James Bond Bordeaux Dinner - April 18

The name is Bordeaux, Bordeaux France. The wines of this classic region are both elegant and powerful, a combination that reminds us of the great 007. We will enjoy wines from Margaux, Pauillac, and Saint-Emilion among others. And there will be a great white from the Graves as well as a sweet from Sauternes. The dishes will be traditional French and will match the intensity and poise of the wines. Isn't that right Moneypenny?

Tuscan Vintage Dinner - May 16

Sunny Tuscany is the home of rolling hills, fresh ingredients and exceptional wines. Chianti and Brunello are the well-known classics, while Vino Nobile di Montepulciano, the great whites of San Gimigniano, and the new wave of French-variety driven 'Super Tuscans' round out a selection of some of our favorite Italian wines. We will start with antipasti, enjoy some traditional pastas, and then move into the eponymous Bistecca Fiorentina, before finishing with some cheese and maybe a tiramisu, all perfectly paired with just the right wines. Perfetto!

The Great Wines of Piedmont - June 20

By many accounts, the cuisine of Piedmont is among the most refined in all of Italy. The tradition of grape-growing is also well-honed with the likes of Barolo, Barbaresco, Gavi, Dolcetto, Barbera and Sparkling Asti well established classics in a country covered in vineyards. The menu will include antipasti, fresh pastas, a traditional meat dish, and of course cheeses and dessert such as panna cotta. The culmination will come with a properly aged Barolo, wine of kings, king of wines!
